Stu in China

It has been a while since I have posted so today I am going to play catch up! The last week in May Stu went to China for two weeks with a program called, A Delegation on Medicine. He went and studied traditional Chinese medicine along with Eastern medicine, which is a lot like Western medicine. He had a great time. Along with all the medical stuff, he also got to do a lot of sight seeing. He has some great pics so I thought I would share them. I am jealous that he got to go to China and I didn't. I don't know all the details about the trip so if you want more info, you will have to talk to him.

What Stu has been up to!

Since I have posted a whole bunch of pictures of me having fun. I thought I would post a picture of what Stu has been up to and will continue to do until next Friday! I can't wait for next Friday, but I can say much because I have not been that much fun either, since I came home from my trips. I have just been studying for my boards for Radiography.

NYC then Disneyland

While Stuart has been stuck at home studying for the MCAT, I have been traveling the world. Well not really the world but both the East and West Coast. For my Aunt Jennifer's Birthday a bunch of the women in the family went to NYC for a few days. We had a blast! We went to the NYC Temple the first day which was absolutely beautiful, then we went to lunch at Tavern on The Green in Central Park, (fun but very expensive) then we went to see Wicked. It is one of my favorite musicals! To finish off the evening we took a limo back to our hotel. The next day my sister Emily and I went to see my friend Megan Fairchild dance in the NYC Ballet. She was gorgeous! Then that night we went to see Mary Poppins. It was amazing too and of course we had to do a little shopping before we left.

After I got back from New York I spent a day with Stu then left for California with my sister Emily and her family. We were only there for three days. The first day we spent sometime at the pool then we spend the evening at Fashion Island Mall. At Fashion Island my niece Addie road the Carousel then we went to a pet store and we got to play with cute little puppies. Addie, Hallie and I loved this part. Then we went a children's clothing store and Addie (age 4) wanted a dress so I think she tried on half the dresses in the store. Then next day we spent the day at... DISNEYLAND! We had a great time. Addie was so excited to see the Princesses. We got to meet Sleeping Beauty, Princess Minnie, and Pocahontas. (Whom Addie as not that thrilled to meet, Addie asked her where Cinderella was.)

Harp Recital

My harp recital was today and both of my sisters were unable to attend, so I am posting the video so they can see my performance. It is definitely far from perfect, but it went pretty well! Nerves always get the best of me!

WATCH OUT!

Well, to night Stu and went to Costco to fill up our cars with gas. We noticed that one of his NEW tires was flat. So we drove over to the Costco tire center and they informed us there was a screw in his tire. While they were fixing it for us we were just chillin in the parking lot. There was a cute little Cocker Spaniel in the back of a truck park a few spots away and I wanted to go see it. As I was walking toward the truck Stu said to me, “Watch out, what if it is ferocious!” I turned and said, “Oh ya, it looks REALLY ferocious.” I kept walking toward the truck and when I got within a foot of the truck the dog almost jumped out and bit my head off. I jump back as fast as I could. It scared the crap out of me. Stu was standing there laughing and some other guy that was taking a smoke break watching this whole thing play out was laughing too. He yelled out, “It looks so sweet.” So that is my funny story for the day. Next time you see a cute, sweet little dog in the back of a truck don’t trust it!

MRI

I am so excited! I got accepted into the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program at the U of U. There were 24 applicants and only 6 spots so I was kind of nervous. Too bad I have been counting down the days until I finish my Radiology Tech Program and now I am going back to school.

Easter with the Fam!

It is great the Stu and my parents are friends. We don't have to worry about who will will spend the holidays with because we all just spend it together. Stu and I, my parents and my sister Emily and her family, and Stu's parent and his sister Michele and her family all had and Easter Egg Hunt and dinner together. We had a great time!

This was a much needed spring break! We did nothing was lay by the pool or the beach, eat, sleep and watch movies. It was so relaxing! We did not want to come back home to school and homework. We just had to keep thinking we only have four more weeks. YAHOO!

This is a little late, but better late than never. The week before Christmas Stu and I went to NYC. We had a great time. Stuart's sister Chame lives in Albany and she met us with and Siena and Gretchen. I got to take Siena and Gretchen to see the New York City Ballet Nutcracker. It was amazing! The girls seemed to enjoy it too. Gretchen informed me after the Nutcracker that it really did not have anything to do with a nutcracker it was just a bunch of dances. I thought that was pretty cute.

Christmas Time

Christmas is by far my favorite time of the year and I love having my own little place to decorate. Last week Stu and I went and bought our Christmas tree. It is a little bigger than the one we bought last year. I hated putting the lights on, but it was fun to put the ornaments on after the two days it took us to put the lights on. My favorite part is the Polar Express around the bottom. My parents gave that to us last year. In my family a Christmas tree is not a Christmas tree until there is a Lionel Train around it. I just thought I would post a picture of our cute tree.

Disneyland in October!

This past week I left Stu and went to Disneyland with my mom, sister and her two girls. We had a great time. We spent a day in Disneyland then we got to go to California Adventure that night and go Trick-or-Treating. That was a lot of fun too. I would defiantly recommend it. My little niece Addie dressed up like snow white as you can see from the pictures. I loved how everything was decorated for Halloween. I especially loved the Haunted Mansion that was all decorated in the Nightmare before Christmas. I wish I could have taken Stu to that he could have seen that. It was a short trip but well worth it.

Nothing too new!

I thought I would try this again. It has only been like 4 months sense I last posted. Not much has happened sense then. I got a pedal harp that is about it. I need to post some pics. It is beautiful. Stu and I are going to Las Vegas this weekend to see the Utes play. I am very excited to have a little brake. I really don't like watching football, but last weeks game was AMAZING!!! I hope the game this Saturday is just as good.
I need to have a kid or buy a house so that I have something to write about!

Last night my mom and I went to see Josh's concert at the Delta Center. It was amazing as usual. They chose that particular concert to film for his next DVD release. After the concert we were walking around the back of the Delta Center and there was a big line forming. We asked someone what was going on and they said that sometimes after concerts Josh will come and meet some of the fans on his way out on the bus. We could see the buses so we decided to wait in the crowd. I had not brought my camera to this concert (of course I brought one to every other concert), so I couldn't take a picture of him and the only thing I had for him to sign was my ticket. This very nice woman next to me gave me one of her programs that she had bought so that he could sign that. After waiting a while his guitarist came out on said that Josh was showering and that he would be a while because his family was here. The security guards just kept telling us to leave that he wasn't coming. Ya right! We are obsessed Grobanites we were not going to leave until the buses were gone! The buses finally started pulling out and when his bus got to the big line of us it stopped and he got out. Josh came down the line and one by one sign something for everyone. When he got to me I stood there staring at him like and idiot and handed him my program. He signed it smiled and said thanks for coming. I just continued to stare at him. My one chance to meet him and I said nothing to him! It was pretty exciting though. At this point in was around 2 am and Trax had stopped running so my mom and I started walking back to the little America Hotel. It was scaring walking around downtown that late at night. Thank goodness the women who gave me her program, her and her husband where staying at that hotel so we did have a man with us. We walked for a while then saw a taxi and had him take us back to the Little America. I got home around 3:00 am and Stu was dead asleep. He had tried to wait up for me, but I was a little late. I had to wake him up and tell him about the night!
