Treasure Hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Curtis'

We had a treasure hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Curtis' this year.  The kids loved it.  The hunt ended with the kids opening a present that was under the Christmas tree.

Abby giving Grandma a hug from behind.

Abby got a Minnie Mouse.

Sam got a little fire truck.

I had to take a picture of Sam in this cute Christmas train outfit.  It was the first time he wore it and he will never wear it again it was TOO small.

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we had Thanksgiving at the Curtis' with all of Stuart siblings and a lot of his extended family came into town and spent the day with us.  Abby loved Thanksgiving dinner.  She ate a lot of Turkey, corn, green beans, a roll (which she shared with Ben) and fruit.  She REALLY like dessert.  She had been looking forward to Pumpkin pie all month.  She ate two or three little pieces with lots of whipped cream and ice cream.

Sam's blessing - November 20th 2011

November 20th 2011 - Sam was blessed today.  It was a wonderful day.  Stuart did an amazing job, it was a beautiful blessing.  Sam was such a good boy during the whole blessing.  He was very quiet and just listen to his daddy's voice.  We had so much support from family.  We counted about 65-70 family members came.  Thank you all for you all for coming. Sam looked to cute in his little white outfit but he decided he didn't want to were it any more, right after church he had a nice blow out.  Abby did the same thing on her blessing day.  So we got a couple of pictures before I had to change him in to his doggy outfit.

He also spit up all down the front of himself.
 Love the shoes.

Getting Better

Last night Sam slept for 4.5 hours his first stretch then 4 hour the second.  I wish he would do that every night.  I only had to get up once at 3:30am.  Keep up the good sleeping Sam!

Abby Today...

Today Abby and I were driving and the radio was tuned to Christmas music, I was not really paying attention to what song was on, but Abby was.  A commercial came on and Abby says to me, " I want to listen to Santa Baby Hurry Down the Chimney Tonight again."  I can't believe how quickly she learns lines of songs.  She hears a song once and she sings along the next time.

Also today, she was baby Mater and I was mommy Mater.  I love Mater, but I would prefer to be Porsche.  Yesterday she was Bolt and I was Penny, or mommy Bolt.

Next funny for the day.  The two of us were dancing in the kitchen and I did a ballet move and she says to me, "Mommy nice moves."  I just bust our laughing.  I didn't realize I was so good.  Then she says to me, "Mommy check this out" and she starts dancing around and says, "Mommy say nice moves Abby."  I just love that little stinker.  I was having a bad day this afternoon and she just cheered me up a bit.

Caught A Smile

Sam has just started to smile more and loves to have conversations with anyone who will talk to him.

So True!

I love the part about how it takes a person with kids 45 minute to do the same thing it takes the average person to do in 15 minutes.

Mommy loves...

Tonight Abby was laying in her crib and she said to me... " Mommy loves her big baby."  I said, "Of course I love my big baby."  Then she said, "I give you hugs" and she gave me a big hug.  She has been so cute the last few days.

Sam's Two Month Appointment

Length: 24.02 inches - 89th percentile
Weight: 13.21 lbs - 88th percentile
Head Circumference:15.8 inches - 60th percentile

Sam had his 8 week appointment today.  He is a big boy.  The doctor just could believe how big he was and how cute he was.  We think he is pretty cute.  Today was our first appointment with our new pediatrician Dr. Gustin.  I really liked her.  Thank goodness!  Sam is doing great.  Doing all the things he is supposed too... following with is eyes, eating well, gaining weight.  Nursing is not going so well, but he seems to be just fine with a bottle, so I will continue to pump until I am tired of that. He is a happy little guy other than his grunting when he needs to poop.

I just can't believe how fast he is growing.  He is wearing 3-6 months clothes unless it is a romper, then it needs to be 6-9 months because he is so long.  He is getting better at sleeping.  He will usually start the night off with a 3-4 hour stretch then 2-3 hour stretched after that.  He is smiling a little now and "talking."  He likes to be in his swing and to just lay flat on the ground.  He loves his binky.  He is my morning child.  No more sleeping in with Abby... well Abby no longer sleeps in.  We are all up between 6 and 8am.  But is seems to be a better schedule foe everyone.  Sam is a really good little guy.  We love him and his big sister so much!

Sam got three shots and one oral vaccine.  I hate having to watch that.

Bath Time For Sammy Boy

Sam loves bath time! Especially when he gets the whole bath to himself and doesn't have to share with his big sister who likes to poor water on some of his parts that she doesn't have.  Maybe she thinks it will wash off.

The other day Abby wanted to play in the snow so bad, so we got all of her snow gear from last year on and she went and played in the snow.  The only problem was her clothes were to small so when she would fall over she couldn't get back up.  I felt so bad stuffing her feet in her boots that were two sizes too small.

Does this remind you of A Christmas Story?
Get this off!

Discovery Gateway

My favorite picture!  They have the baby in the car and they were driving to Disney World.

Science class.  Vinegar and Baking Soda-pretty exciting!

I am having issues getting some of the pictures the right way.  Just turn your head and look at it!

Last week Abby, Sam and I took Hallie to Discovery Gateway.  They had a great time.  I sat there for 3 hours and never was bothered by either of them.  We are going to do that more often.
