Mommyhood

I just love being a mommy! Lately Abby has become quite the mommy's girl. I love when we watch TV and she says "mommy nuggle." I just love snuggling up to her and watching Mickey Mouse, Nemo, or Tinkerbell. It just melts my heart to hear her say it. I love to make her giggle and chase her around and listen to her laugh and squeal. She makes me so happy. Tonight when I put her to bed I said mommy loves you and she said mommy, love mommy, daddy, toys, kiss? I just can't kiss her and hug her enough. Today when Stu got home from school she just walked over and gave him a hug. Then turned around and hugged him again then hugged me. Tonight the three of us went to dinner and the whole time we were tying to eat she just kept wanting mommy. Stu finished his meal and I kept tying to tackle her while I ate. There was nothing he could do she only wanted mommy. As big of a pain as is was I loved every minute of it. A friend of mine and her little family sat at a table near ours and half of dinner Abby kept wanting to go over and say hi to them. (Sorry Jessica for interrupting your dinner several times.)

I just love her so much.

Happy Easter!

Doesn't she look so cute in her little Easter Dress. Thank you Stu for taking these pictures since I was at work.

Yay! I run fast. That's probably what she is saying.

The Easter bunny came.

I had to work this Easter, not a great way to start off, but I got off at 2:00 pm. I was able to make it to some of Church and made it in time for all the festivities. Abby seemed to really like her Easter basket. She got two books, Flip, Flap, Fly and My First Bible Stories book. She also got some more animals to go with her Little People Noah's Ark. After Easter basket time with mommy and daddy we had dinner with Michele and Dan and family and Irval, Joann and Tonya. We had a yummy dinner, potato and ham then off to do another Easter Egg hunt. Abby had really got the hang of egg hunts now. She loves that all the eggs have teets in them.

MSA Easter Egg Hunt

Today we had an MSA Easter Egg hunt. This was Abby third Easter egg hunt this week so she finally kind of figured it out today. She opened one egg and found jelly beans and she just wanted to stop there and eat those, but I kept telling her that the more eggs she got the more candy she would get. That kept her looking for the eggs. Thanks to Grandma Jo she had this cute daffodil basket to pick up eggs in today. We had a great time. Abby thought it was really neat that she could "Coco" - Color on the side walk with side walk chalk.

When we were leaving I left my keys in the pocket of the back door when I was putting Abby in her seat. When I sat in my seat I started looking in my purse for the keys, then suddenly the doors locked and the car started to honk repeatedly. I turned around and Abby had found the keys. She was smiling saying beep, beep, Mommy beep, beep. She would not give me the keys. There we are in front of the house we were just in and Abby just keeps honking the horn. They were probably wondering what I was doing. I finally bribed her with a Starburst and was happy to trade. She is too funny!

Cute kids!

2011 Easter Egg Hunt

Last weekend we went to Emily's neighborhood's annual Easter Egg hunt. Abby wasn't quite sure what to think. She thought the playground might be more fun that finding eggs on the ground. She liked it a little better once she found candy inside one of the eggs. Daddy had to help her out a bit. After the egg hunt she played on the playground with her cousins Addie, Hallie and Josh and got a picture with the Easter bunny.

Definitely a Girl

Abby is definitely a girl. The other day when she was playing she put on four necklaces, filled her purse and carried it around along with her baby. Look at how she is carrying the baby... she is going to be such a help when her little brother comes.

1st Year Wives Night Out

Last weekend the 1st year med student wives had a girls night out. We went to the Pie Pizzeria downtown and yes all six of those pizzas are ours. Three of the four of us are pregnant what can we say. (We all felt bad leaving our hubbys at home so we all got our own so we could take leftovers to them.) Then we headed off to Starbucks for a warm Apple ciders and some talking.

Stuck To You

I just love the things Abby says. She loves the word stuck (in all its forms). Whenever she needed help she is stuck or she hates when her hands are sticky. She also loves stickers. My favorite it when she wants to be picked up she says, "stick to you." It is too cute! The other day she came up to me and and patted her chest and gave me this puppy dog face and said, "Mommy stick to you" in this little pouty voice. I just want to give her a hug right now!

Oh Abby!

This morning I hear Abby calling Mommy, Mommy from her room, so I walk in there to get her out of her crib and she had unzipped her jammies and taken them all the way off, unsnapped her onesie and taken off her diaper. When I walked in she just says to me... Poop! I just started laughing and took her upstairs to the bath. When I went down to clean up her crib thank goodness there was no poop. She had peed though. Oh-well easy to wash. The things she does. She thinks she can change herself.
