On Kilimanjaro Safaris

Abby loved all the fish and animals

Tricera Top Spin

Eating a Lollipop waiting for the Light Parade in Magic Kingdom

One of the three or four times Abby rode the Tea Cups
Abby and Sam crashed on our way from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom

We had a fabulous day.  The weather could not have been more perfect, the kids were great, we have had a wonderful time.  We started the day at Animal Kingdom.  Abby loved seeing all of the animals.  We would stop to look at one and want to move on to the next animal.  She told us in the car on the way there that the animal she wanted to see was an ostrich.  We were all thinking and ostrich, okay?  But she got to see her ostrich and lots of other animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris.  She thought that was so much fun.  We at lunch a pizza place and we had to force Abby to eat she just wanted to go and do things.  The lines were not bad at all.  I don't think we waited any more than maybe 15-20 minutes to get on anything.  Stu and I did the Expedition Everest and we were in the very front, we thought that was pretty fun.  Abby enjoyed seeing all of the colorful fish and other animals.  We road on the train to the Raffiki island (or what ever it is called) and there they had a whole lot of bugs on display, Abby walked along the window pointing at each of them says disgusting, disgusting, disgusting.  I think she learned that from her mother!  Last grandpa Ron and Stu and Abby rode Tricera Top Spin.  Abby liked that one.  She did see Pluto when she was walking with grandpa and I guess she wanted to go hug him, but the line was too long.  We then made out way back to the car where both kids fell asleep and we drove over to The Magic Kingdom so we could watch the Electrical Light Parade.  Stu and I hung out in the car for an hour while the kids slept and grandma and grandpa went ahead and saved us a perfect spot to watch the parade.  While we waited for the parade Abby tried hula hooping and grandpa took her to get a lollipop.  The parade was wonderful and both kids enjoyed it.  Then we went and had dinner in Tomorrow land and the Starlight Cafe.  One Abby ate she was in a much better mood and she was ready to go again.  Grandpa had gotten us fastpasses for Space Mountain so Stu and I rode that what grandpa and Abby rode the Teacups.  Grandma hung out with sleeping Sam.  After we finish space mountain we went and found them at the Teacups and Abby rode then three more times while my parents went on Space Mountain.  Every time she would get off the Teacups she would say, "Again, Again!" Then we left the park on the crowded monorail and headed back to the hotel were we have been trying to get the kids to bed for who knows how long.  Sam in sleeping in the family room/kitchen, Abby and I are in the king size bed and Stu decided to sleep on the hid abed with Sam because last night Abby pretty much slept on top of him all night long.  We wanted to try and make it to Universal Studios early tomorrow, but I don't think that will happen since it is 12:30am here and everyone is just getting to sleep.  Well I am done pumping so I am going to go to bed!  I hope tomorrow is as perfect as today! Sorry about all the grammatical and spelling errors, it is late!

Good Night!

We made it!

It was a pretty good flight.  Abby watched movies pretty much the whole time.  For the most part Sam did well too.  He slept for most of the end of the flight.  Abby was so excited to get on an airplane.  She wanted to go straight to Disney World when we landed.  She looked pretty cute walking with her little suitcase in toe.
We had so much crap.  Check out our car and that was only the trunk.  Abby likes our hotel, she especially likes our shower.  It was a huge shower that the shower head was on the ceiling.  Abby said it was raining.  When it was time for bed Abby was so sad she wanted to go to bed in her new big girl bed at home.  That is why she is sleeping in our bed.  Off to Animal Kingdom tomorrow.

On Our Way...

We are leaving in 30 minutes to go to Disney World.  I got all four of us packed into two suitcases- Abby diapers, Sam diapers, swim diapers, bottles, sippy cups, baby food, food, clothes, shoes, etc.  Way to go me!, Pluto and Pooh Bear. We are so excited to see Abby this morning when we wake her to tell her we are going to get on the airplane to go to Disney World. I have her little Dora suitcase packed with her all of her Minnie Mouses
Hopefully it will be a fun trip.  We are sure excited!

Two Choices...

Today Abby told me I had two choices, I could either go to my room and get in my bed or play with her ponies. Hmmm, let me think about that.

Two Year Olds...

I just love how Abby thinks, tonight as we were reading stories before bed she suddenly wanted her blanket washed. I told her I would do it tomorrow. She freaked out because she said her blanket needed to be wash cause it was yucky.  I finally figured out what she really wanted was for me to put it in the dryer. So we went and put it in the dryer, read a story and went and got it out of the dryer. That did the trick.  She just wanted a warm blanket.  I think she was just really cold tonight.  Tonight was the first night she let me put her comforter on since she got her new bed.  We snuggled under the covers and sang songs for a while.  Then she turns to me and says, "Guess what!" I said, "What?", Her reply, "I am going to go sledding tomorrow because I am going sledding tomorrow because Share bear need a hug." Then continues with another run on sentence that makes not sense.  I just smiled.  Then she asked me to sing one more song so I finished another song and she turns to me and says, "Guess what!" I said, "What?" Then she start rambling about grumpy bare and going to Disney World in a month.  I just love to listen to her.  That little mind is just moving a million miles a minute.  She asked for one more song and I was so warm and toasty falling asleep in her bed I said sure.  After that song she said, "Mommy I want you to sleep with me in my bed." She has never asked that before.  I loved it.  I told her Daddy would miss me to much maybe we could have a sleep over another time.  She said something like maybe next month.  She doesn't understand days and week and months but I love how she tries to use them in sentences.  She is such a sweetheart...most of the time. ( :  We had a fun day together.  Sam, Abby and I went to the Aquarium then to McDonald's for lunch.  Abby requested that we go inside, even though the one we went to did not have a play-place.  She was just my little buddy today!  It was almost like the days before Sam was born now we just have an extra buddy that Abby loves to tickle and try to make him laugh. I just love my squirts!

Baby Food Time!

I have not been the best a feeding Sam baby food so this week I decided to try and be better.  He has really enjoyed it.  He started the week just eating on Gerber 1st, but two days ago he at an entire Gerber 2nd in one sitting and yesterday he ate two Gerber 1st in one sitting and wanted more.  If I don't just shovel it in he gets so mad.  My kid just love to eat!  I tried peas this week.  It was a no go!  Abby hated baby food peas too.  But he has enjoyed everything else I have tried - bananas, carrots, squash and pears.

Pretend Disney World

Lately Abby keeps pretending to go to Disney World.  She likes to tell me she is going to pretend Disney World, just in case I thought she was really going to Disney World.  Yesterday we sat on the stairs and that was the airplane, then we got off and we were in pretend Disney World.  She said, "Look how beautiful Disney World is and listen there is music."  Then we went to the hotel and picked out our beds and went swimming (on the floor.) I am so excited to take her to the real Disney World, on a real airplane and to a real hotel to go swimming.

Sam and Abby

These are pictures of  Abby entertaining Sam yesterday.  They were all taken after Abby fell into the kitchen sink and hit the colander that was full of spaghetti...which flew up and landed in her hair and also turned on the water full blast and was soping wet.  I really wish I would have had the camera at them moment.

 - Hey Sam check out my really wet diaper!
Her diaper was really full and needed to be changed, but I had to snap these pics before I changed it. Sam was laughing hysterically the entire time.  He just loves Abby!

Mr. Shark Man

Mom pick me up!

Much better

Really mom!?!

My happy boy!

All fresh after the bath in his 12 months clothes, that barely fit!

I love to check myself out in the mirror just like my sister did.

Sunday Morning with Grandma and Grandpa Curtis

On Sunday morning Abby decided to wake up at 6am.  Poor Stu had to get up and deal with her.  Around 8am Abby went to visits Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma was in the bath and Grandpa was in the shower.  Grandma was having her morning Diet Coke and Peanut butter and Abby wanted hers too.  So she went downstairs and got a spoonful of peanut butter from Stu and went back up and had coke and peanut butter picnic with Grandma in the tub.  Then Mark got out of the shower with a towel wrapped around him and Abby wanted him to sing Lollipop.  So, picture this naked grandma in the tub having a picnic with Abby and Grandpa in a towel dancing and singing Lollipop.  Stu and I were in the kitchen and we were wondering what was going on upstairs.  Abby sounded like she was having a great time.

How may of you have had a picnic with your naked grandma! ( :

Medical Marriages and Finance Night

On Friday night Stu and I went to the annual Medical Marriages and Finance night that MSA puts on and for the fund raiser they were selling these shirts. Abby thought it was pretty cool.  We really enjoyed our night.  We learned lots of things like... you are going to be in a lot of debt so just deal with it. ( :  The financial speaker was actually really good.  Stu and I might go and talk to him in the future.  I learned I need to be independent and if my husband it there great and if he is not oh-well I still have plans.  It is always nice to hear what other medical families are like. I always love advice whether I live by it or not.

Whenever and ever I want!

Abby's new phrase is... Whenever and ever I want.  Today she wanted to put Pistachios in her her oatmeal and I said, "You can if you want." Then she said, "I can when ever and ever I want." Then she asked me to change diaper and I said, "You're not poopy you are just wet." She replied, "Yep I can pee whenever and ever I want."

Little Munch

I love my little Munch. (Abby) She was having a ruff night tonight when we were getting her ready for bed.  She didn't get a nap today so she should have gone to be early, but we were having too much fun at Arctic Circle with her cousins, Annie, Eva and Josh.  She had a big red spot on her leg and I wanted to put some medicine on it, but she hates me to put medicine on anytime for some reason.  I put it on and she was kick and screaming, grandpa and I were holding her down.  Then we tried to put her jammies on and she was out of control screaming and flailing around.  Stu had been studying, but he came over and just picked her up and took her down stairs to try and calm her down.  She came back up and so sweetly said, "Sorry grandma and grandpa."  A few minutes later she said to me trying to hold back the sniffles, "Thanks for putting the medicine on my leg to try and make it feel better."  Then we were watching a little TV while I brushed her teeth and she said, "My leg is starting to feel better, will you rub it with my jammies?"  I rubbed her leg a little and she looks at me with a big grin and says, "That feels good!"  Even though she can be such a pan in the butt sometimes she can be so dang cute too.

Thanks Grandpa Mark

It was so nice of grandpa Mark to help Abby find these "Snakes." I tossed them during her nap hoping she would have forgotten about them but nope the first thing she said to me when she woke up was, "Let's go see my snakes!"

Game night!

Tonight Abby wanted to play some games, so Stu and I pulled out Princess Memory, she informed us she didn't like that game.  So we looked at all the pictures as we put it away.  Then we pulled out High Ho Cherry Oh.  She put all the cherrys on all the trees then on her first spin she got a 1 we said okay take off one cherry and in one big hand full she took them all off.  Stu and I continued to play for about a minute until Abby help Stu win by taking off all of his cherrys.  Then we tried pass the pigs, but she just wanted to play with the little pigs.  Next we tried Blockhead and she informed me that it was way too hard for me.  Stu and I laughed, I didn't realize stacking block was so hard. ( : We all stacked the blocks for a minute then she wanted to watch a show.  Gotta love a two year old's attention span.
