Today's funnies!

Sam got up at 6:40 this morning so I went up stairs turned on a movie and went back to bed. Them Abby came in an hour later or so and she wanted someone to go up stairs with her. I told her Sam was up there so she went up. A little while later Stu and I went up stairs and Abby says to us, "I had to babysit Sam while you guys where sleeping and I'm tired of him!" Stu and I busted out laughing and Stu say, "Sounds a lot like you... I've had the kids all day and I'm tired of them." That's why it was so funny!

Now Sam... He is walking down the stairs and wines, "These stairs are too big I need smaller ones." Granted he goes down those stairs a million times a day.

Abby and Sam found our little duck toilet downstairs and they brought it up and cause Abby says Sam wants to potty train. Them they take it in the bathroom and a little while later they both come out and Abby says, "Sam sat on the duck toilet and went potty in his diaper so I put a new one on." Sam comes walking out with a very loose fitting diaper. It was pretty funny!

Here is a laugh!

Recap on some of the funnies today... Abby was wearing the new striped outfit her grandma sent her and she stuck her head inside the neck and said, "Wow it's a rainbow fantasy in here!" Then I bought Sam a new play drill with my 20 bucks at toysrus because the one he got for Christmas isn't battery powered so he thinks it is broken.  He holds it and says, "Now I can screw!" Then he proceeded to wear the goggles that came with the drill all night and carry his drill. He was having a great time drilling or screwing his beans at El Farol with his safety goggles on for protection.
And Sam thought the car wash was hilarious!

White Christmas

Abby, Why is this guy on the iPod singing about a white Christmas. What does that mean.

Me, maybe because he lives somewhere where it doesn't snow and he wishes he could have snow for Christmas.

Abby, where does he live, where does it not snow?

Me, maybe Florida.

Abby, maybe Disneyland or California. Me, maybe.

Abby, I want to go to Disneyland or somewhere it doesn't snow.

Me, me too, but for now let's just enjoy our beautiful white Christmas.

Abby, no I want to go somewhere where there is no snow!

Sam's 2 Year Appointment...Only 5 months behind

Sam's 2 year appointment was on Sept. 19th 2013. He was...
-Wights, 33.29 lbs (94%)
-Height, 35.83 inches (85%)
-Head Circ. 19.8 in (86%)

Once again he is a big boy!  So it is really Feb. 12th 2014. So Sam is really almost 2 1/2.  I am only about 5 months behind on writing this.  Sam has grown up so much since September.  Stuart left for Nashville for the entire month of September and while he was gone Sam just started talking so well.  Stu couldn't believe how well he was talking when he came home.  He started talking so much clearer and in full sentences.  I love to listen to him talk he has the cutest little voice.  He had to learn to talk to keep up with Abby.  Now I have two talkers.  He loves his daddy.  He is such a daddy's boy, maybe even more than Stuart would like.  Stu had the entire month of November, December and January off to do interviews and I don't know if I changed a diaper the entire time.  Only daddy could change it.  Only daddy could get him a drink or food and help him.  I was a little annoying but I'm glad he loves his daddy.
A little about Sam right now.  He was a really good eater for a while.  He was willing to try anything we put on his plate.  We found out that he loves, Meatballs, lettuce and spinach with ranch, he love Caesar salad and carrots.  Most everything else he has liked for a while like Strawberries, pears, apples, watermelon broccoli, corn, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, PB and J.  He will not eat Cheese quesadilla, noodles or oranges.  While child doesn't like noodles?
in the passed couple months he has started to really like Super heroes, Ninja (engine) Turtles, fighting, boy stuff.  It is so fun to see the difference between girls and boys.  The other day he was galloping through the kitchen with a light saber saying, "It's a fight parade and I am going to shoot meatballs at the bad guys!" He also still loves trains.  He was obsessed with a DVD we got from the library called The Alphabet Train.  He called it Grandpas trains show and he watched it constantly for a week and still asks for it.  He wanted to take it to California to show it to Grandpa Ron.  He really likes Monster trucks and trucks and cars too. He at Abby have been best friends lately.  They play so well together.  He always wants Babby when he is sad. I love when he comes up to Abby and says, "Babby, lets play!"  He also loves his cousin Joshy.  He get so excited to play with Joshy.  The other day when we went to Emily's house Josh opened the door and gave Sam a hug and said, "I haven't seen you in forever."  Melts my heart.  Love that they are buds.
He learned how to crawl out of his crib about 6 weeks ago.  That has been fun, but he is my sleeper.  He loves his bed and his blankets, all three of them, and his binkies.  He will still go to bed so easily and most of the time still take naps though sometimes he will climb out because he needs a drink or a "bandaid."   He just says the cutest things.  I just love what he says.  I love this age so much.  The other day I said, Sam I need to change your poopy.  He said it's not a poopy, its just a nugget. He cracks me up!  I need to be better at typing what the kids say.  They are so funny.  Sambo is my favorite little guy.  I love him so much.  He makes me to happy.  I can't imagine life with out my little red headed buckaroo!
A few pictures from September 19th, 2013 at his 2 year appointment with Dr. Gustin.

And a few pictures that are a little more recent.. Mr. Tools, he loves his Tools

When I got Sam out of his bed this morning he said to me with this sad voice, "Daddy ooking gen?"  I said, "Yes he is working again." He said all disappointed, "Okay."  We are all really missing daddy. 3 1/2 weeks more today till daddy comes home.

Missing Daddy!

Yesterday Sam saw a bus and said daddy's bus. Abby said no daddy went on an airplane for a hundred years.  I guess a month is a really long time for a kid. I kinda feel the same way though.

Labs again!

Sam has Petechia on his stomach, chest and up into one arm pit. He had this once before, we did lab work and everything was was fine. I took him to the  the doctor for it today and the doctor said most people don't ever get Petechia and for him to get it twice in six months is not normal. So we had to get lab work done again. The last time we had this done it was it was a total joke. I just didn't want to deal with my two kiddos at the lab again and have Abby freak out more than Sam and have to kids out of control. I wanted to go to Primary Children's where they know how to deal with children. It all worked out. I called Stu and asked if he could watch Abby for a few minutes while I had this done if I brought them the primary's.   He said yes so we headed up. He was done with clinic and was at Primary's to see if there was anything he could do there.  This time around was so much better. I got a front row spot, Stu was there to help me with the kids. He played with the kids while I got Sam all registered (which last time was a joke) then I stayed with Abby, Stu took Sam back and was done in three minutes. They got him in one stick and all Sam said was, "hurt." Then they gave him a little wood truck, so he was pretty happy. Then Stu was able to just come home with us. So glad it all work out!

Gardening fun!

This is my first year planting a garden and it been so fun!  I think I've done a pretty good job so far as a gardener. Especially because I just put dirt in garden boxes, planted seeds and plants and just hoped they would grow.  Well so far I've gotten lots of leaf lettuce, two summer squashes, six zucchini,  four pumpkins are growing, seven green beans with more on the way, one carrot with three more on the way, one strawberry but something ate it before I could lots of flowers on my watermelon plant but no melons, lots of flowers on my tomato plant but no tomatoes yet. Then I have my three mammoth sunflowers that are so big and beautiful. It's been so fun. I can't wait until I can do it again next year. Who would have thought!

Check out my one gigantic green bean!

Party in the Bathroom!

I am off to get ready for bed and I found this. I think someone had a party in the bathroom and forgot to invite me!

Stop screaming mommy!

Tonight the kids were eating and Sam had eaten about a fourth of his food and got off his stool and said, "I done!"  I raised my voice a bit and told him he was not done and to get back up in his chair and eat more of his food. He looked me in the eye and said, "Stop screaming mommy!" I lowered my tone and said, "Ok, Sam you need to get back up here and finish your dinner." He said, "Ok mommy!" And hopped back up and continued to eat. I just couldn't believe it when he looked and me and said, "Stop screaming mommy!"  At least someone's keeping me in line.
