Our little family spent the last week in Vail, Colorado. It was a nice relaxing week. We really didn't do much at all, but it was so nice to get away. Our first day we met some nice people at a welcome BBQ at our hotel that told us to go on a Gondola ride on Thursdays because it is free. That was a lot of fun! It was absolutely gorgeous. We always go on vacation to the beach, so it was a fun change to go to the mountains. Our hotel was walking distance from Vail Village, so we would walk there and go to dinner and the shops and every night we had to go to the Marble Slab and share the Cookie Dough Drizzle Creation. Yummy! We are addicted to the TV show Heroes so we bought season 2 before we left and watched that and Stu was a sweet heart and let me pick out a movie every night. I got all the movies in that I wanted to see like... Bride Wars, 17 Again, and He is Just Not That into You. All of which were good movies and Stu didn't mind them, well Bride Wars was not his favorite. It was a great little get away for us!

Lake Powell

This past week we went down to Lake Powell with Stu's family. The fam got down there on Sunday, we didn't go down until Wednesday, so we could make it to my cousin's wedding. We had a wonderful time. Even if the ski boat broke down the day after we got there. Thank goodness for nice people. Our neighboring house boat took us late comers out on their boat, so Stu would get a chance to ski and wake board. They also let us borrow their wave runner for a day and the kids loved it. The weather was perfect the whole time we were there. Abby loved it down there. She loved not having to have a blanket on her all the time and she loved the ski boat.
Abby and I on the way to the houseboat. Gotta love the life jacket that is bigger than she is!

Our Cute little Abby!

Abby loved the Ski boat! She fell right to sleep, the best part was, the life jacket held her pacifier
in.

The girls sleeping. That sun wears you out.

What I felt like I did the entire time we were there... Breastfeeding on the couch with Chame' Stu's sister.

The cousins again! Abby looks cosy, Ben doesn't look so happy.

Stu and I kayaking

Stu and the boys swimming the boat to the dock. Don't worry that no one offered to tow them in, they all just drove around them and watched. One guy even told Jon who was in the boat that he needed to have a flag up if there were swimmers in the water, then drove off down to the dock.

Abby's new favorite thing!

Last week Abby and I went with Stu to work to help him so he could finish in half the time. I took the Bjorn with us and put Abby in it while I vacuumed. She loved it. She was a little fussy when I put her in, but after about 2 minutes she was dead asleep. Every time I would turn off the vacuum to move the plug, she would start winning until I turned it on again, then right back to sleep.

My Cousins Wedding!

August 11th was my Cousin Javan's Wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, such a cute couple. Since our little family was all dressed up I had to take some family photos. Taking pictures with a month old baby is a little difficult, since they never look at the camera or sit up by themselves. Stuart said he felt like it was our wedding day with all the pictures that were being taken of us.

Happy 3rd Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday was our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. It was a nice day, but Anniversaries are definitely not the same once you have a kid. We started off the day at the pediatrician. Abby now weighs 9 lbs 11 oz and is 23 1/2 in long. They made her so mad, by pricking her little heal. ) : Poor little foot.

Then we spent the afternoon lounging around with Abers.

Our cute little monkey!

Off to the Cheesecake Factory for a romantic dinner full of surprises...

Like this surprise - During dinner Abby woke up screaming I tried to calm her with her binky but that didn't work so I pulled her out of her car seat, put her head on my chest to try and comfort her and she totally pukes down me shirt. Mmmm... nice warm liquid run down my cleavage. This was the second time she did this today. If you notice I started the day in a blue striped shirt.

Our dinner at the Cheesecake Factory - Yummy!

Then the final surprise of the evening, don't worry that this was the second blow of the day. The first was all over me, this one got the car seat.

Our New Car!

The family Wagon! When we put the carseat in Stu's car when we were bringing Abby home from the hospital, we realized that his car was a little small. If I wanted to sit in the front seat I would have to sit all scrunched up. So we decided we would go and look for a car and we bought one this weekend. We bought a white 09' Subaru Outback. We love it! I have never had a new car before. I love having a big moon roof, key less entry and it is also big enough to transport my Harp in.

Stu got the bad end of the deal. We traded in his 05' Subaru Impreza and he is now driving my 97' Honda Accord. He is a good guy!
