Our Tree This Year

We are all decorated for Christmas. Notice there is no train around the tree this year and it is only decorated from half way up... You can guess why!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we had Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house. We haven't done that for years so it was really fun to have the whole family there together. My dad made even made an extension for the table so that we would all fit. Abby loved having all of the kids to play with. Happy Thanksgiving!

Who Pooped In My Tub!

The other day Abby was taking a bath and I was sitting next to the bath looking through an ad and all of a sudden Abby stands up and starts freaking out! I immediately turn to see what is wrong and she is standing there pointing to a poop and screaming. She poops in the tub ALL the time and has never freaked out before. I guess she probably started doing that because I usually freak out when she poops. She makes me laugh. Then a couple days later when she was taking a bath, she had some dark colored fluffys on her feet from her socks that were floating in the water and she avoided them like the plague. I think she thought they were little poops. I finally had to fish them out of the water because they were really bothering her. I don't know what I would do with out her!

Abby at 16 months - Playing at the park

Loving the swing, the higher the better!

Climbing up the slide is more fun that going down!

Abby is so fun right now! (Most of the time) Her new thing is singing. She likes to sing along with the radio sometimes, the TV or me and Stu. Tonight we were watching Wonder Pets and she sang along to the theme song. She especially liked the part when that sang "What's gonna to work, team work, what's gonna, team work. She really got the TEAM work down. We were driving in the car the other day and a song came on the radio that I didn't particularly like but Abby was just singing away in the back to I couldn't change it. It seems to be more ofter softer songs, like When You Wish Upon a Star. That is one she like to sing with. At night when I am putting her to bed I sing a few songs to her and she lets me know when I am singing a song she doesn't want me to sing. Lately I have been singing, It's a Small World multiple times a night. She likes to sing with me. I just love to listen to that sweet little voice trying to mimic my singing.

She had been really good about not having her bottle. She has only had I think two or three in a few weeks. Not to bad. Sometimes if she wakes up in the night we will giver her one. I think she likes reading stories and singing time before bed more that bottle time.

Food she likes right now...
  • POPCORN!!!
  • Chicken
  • canned Green beans
  • Corn
  • Frozen peas
  • refried beans
  • black beans
  • rice of any kind
  • juice boxes
  • Almond milk... cold
  • Grapes
  • tortilla chips
  • TORTILLAS
  • I gave her a little Mac and Cheese and she LOVED it, but her face broke out in hives. She cried when I took her bowl away.
  • any thing she can use as a dip... baby food, salsa, hummus, beans apple sauce
  • BANANAS
  • PEANUT BUTTER by the spoon full
  • PB and J
  • Cinnamon and sugar toast
  • Strawberry frosted shredded wheat
  • All kinds of cereals
  • raisins
  • chicken nuggets
  • french fries
  • CANDY of any kind
  • TOOTHPASTE, we have to hide out toothpaste, Abby loves it. She always wants some on her toothbrush and she sucks it off and wants more.
  • and a bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now.

We took her to Winger's tonight and she thought she was in heaven with all of that Yummy popcorn!

She now watches a lot of different shows on TV thanks goodness. For awhile all we could watch was Mickey Mouse Club House. She really like Wonder pets, Go Diego Go, Mickey Mouse Club House and lots of other shows that are on. He favorite movie lately had been Disneyland Sing Along Songs. I got if from the library and I finally had to buy it. When we watch it and the Dumbo ride is shown she always says Dumbo.

She is getting good at her counting. I anyone says one she will say twho, chree. So when every we go up or down the stair we count 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 all the way up or down.

She will sometimes, talk. Stu has really been working with her. She will sometimes say up when she wants to get up. She says... this a lot. The other day she was in the tub and I was washing her body and it the soap made some bubble and she pointed to one and bubble. I didn't know she even new that word. She does like to say Jump, Jump and Bonce, Bonce while she is jumping. She know a lot of animal sound...

  • Elephant, dog, cat, bear, tiger, duck, cow, bunny (hop, hop), monkey, I know there are other's but I can't think of them right now.

Lately I have had music playing around the house more often and she will just stop and dance to it. I just love to watch her cute little dance moves.

Everyday is a new adventure with her. We never know what she is going to find to push around or what cupboard or drawer she is going to empty that day, or hour. But...I love her to pieces and I know her daddy does too!

Halloween 2010

This year for for Halloween Abby was the cutest little Ladybug I have ever seen. We loved to watch her run from the back, her chubby ladybug bum would bounce. Stu and I scrounged something out of Lafuanda costume closet to wear. If you can't tell I am a swimmer and Stu a construction worker. Abby enjoyed going Trick-or-Treating, especially when she would get Skittles. We only went to five houses but at one house she got a small bag of Skittles and she took it right out of her Pumpkin bucket and held on to it then he next house we went to she put a full size bag of Skittles in Abby's pumpkin and Abby dropped her little bag back in and grabbed the big bag. She wouldn't put them down. When we got home we had to open them for her and she carried them around for the rest of the night.

Do these fit?

Mom... you need to find a better hiding spot

I turned on the TV to distract Abby while I took a quick shower and she came walking into the bathroom eating a Toosie Pop. When I walked out to see what she had been doing while I was away I found this little mess. She had found the two bags of candy that we had gotten trick-or-treating in Disneyland. She had found all of her favorite candy. She opened a Toosie Pop and was eating it, she had pull out all of the Dots and tryed to open them and had pulled out all of the Skittles too.

Family Pictures

We had our first official family photo shoot done a couple weeks ago. I think they turned out nice. I wish Abby was smiling in more of them, but what can you do. Fifteen month olds don't always smile on cue.

No more Bah Bah!

Abby has been sick for the past week and she hasn't wanted her bottle like she usually does, so we decided maybe we would try weaning her. The last couple days she has been fine. She really didn't seem to care if she didn't get one before her naps and bedtime. We will see how long she lasts. I am going to put all the bottles away tomorrow. She still has her binks though. I don't know how we will take that one away.

Trying to be crafty

I wanted to make a cute dessert for a Halloween party we are going to on Saturday and I found this cupcake idea on Disney.com. So, I thought I would try it out before Saturday. What do you think, can you tell who it is?

The past weekend, Abby and I went to Disneyland with, Grandma Jo, and my sister Emily and her little family. I was so excited to take Abby to Disneyland because of how much she loves Mickey and his friends. She loved it. She especially loved the Tea Cups, It's a Small World, Winnie and Pooh's Adventure, Dumbo, and she didn't seem to mind Pirates. I love Disneyland in October. We went to Mickey's Halloween Party and had a great time Trick or Treating throughout Disneyland. Abby look pretty cute in her ladybug costume - she knew it too. When we were waiting for the Halloween Parade to start she kept walking up and down the road in front of everyone strutting her stuff. Everyone kept saying... Oh look to the cute little lady bug. She would stop and dance to the music and talk to people, then at one point she just stopped and laid down in the middle of the street rolled around a bit and ate her chicken nugget. It was pretty funny. She really enjoyed the parade. She like seeing all of the characters. When the parade was over she started screaming and wanted to follow it. We rode the Tea cups a few times that night because there was no wait and Abby kept wanting to go again and again. The fireworks were amazing as usual. Abby liked those too. The park was decorated to neat. I love what Disney does. The Haunted Mansion is better during Halloween. I prefer it done as the Nightmare before Christmas. I wish Stu could have been there with us to see it.
Abby loved riding all of the rides, but didn't understand the whole waiting in line thing. While we were waiting in any line, she would try to climb through fences, and crawl through people trying to get to the ride. She knew what she wanted and she was going to get there herself. Saturday was extremely busy so we didn't get the chance to go on as many rides as we would have liked to but I am pretty sure there will be many more chances. On Saturday night went to see World of Color in California Adventure. It was absolutely AMAZING. I can't wait to take Stu back to see it. Abby even loved it. She just laid on my shoulder and watched the whole thing.
Abby didn't sleep very well on the trip so we were all a little tired and grumpy, but we still had a great time. Thanks Grandma for letting us crash in your room, and thanks Em for letting us tag along with you!
