Fortune cookies

Abby's prayer tonight... And please bless mommy that she can go to Mexico and get more fortune cookies. Hmmm. I'd love to go to Mexico but I don't know if I will find too many fortune cookies there! Stuart and I just looked and each other and tried not to giggle. 

The Angel of Ronai

Sam was building a temple out of Legos duplex today during General Conference and as he finished his master piece he said, "And here is the angel of Ronai!"

Let's go sit in the church...

Today after preschool Sam asked if we go and sit in the church. His school that in a Episcopal church and when you walk down the stairs from his classroom you can see the chapel and he asked if we could go and sit in the church. So walked in and he took me to the very back row and said, "Let's sit on the bench." Sowe sat on the bench and then he said to me, "Let's sit here and think about Jesus and how he died for us." Then after a small pause said, "And think about the prophet that we are going to watch on TV and eat candy and think about God."

Funnies of the Week

Sam and Stu were out for bike ride.  Sam saw all the left over grass on someones lawn from the lawn mower and he says to Stu, "Look dad! It's lawn mower poop!"

Sam came running in to my bed room on garbage day and said, "Mom, the garbage only emptied one of our trash cans.  Me, "The recycling truck will come and empty the other." Sam, "Oh! That is garbage truck team work!"

I was putting the kids to bed tonight and Abby was complaining that she was hungry, I got frustrated with her and told her she should have asked for more dinner, though I did feel bad because Sam had continually stolen Abby's food off her plate tonight at dinner so I don't know how much she actually ate.  I said no and left the room.  Then little Sammy comes and says to me in this low voice, "Mommy? I think I need a hamburger." I couldn't be mad at that so I let both kids get up and have sandwiches.

As I was tucking Abby in tonight I said to her, "Sorry I was kinda grumpy today."  She replied, "Ya, could you go to bed right now so you don't wake up that way tomorrow?"

I love these two so much!  They can make me to mad and frustrated but boy I can't get enough of them.

Stylish Sam

I took Sam to get his hair cut today. It was the first hair cut he sat quietly and didn't scream. After it was done the hair dresser tried to spike his hair. He told her he didn't like it that way. She flattened out all the spikes then as we were getting in the car he said, "I got my hair cut now I look super stywish!"  It was pretty dang cute!

Good bye, Subi - Hello, Odyssey

We had to say goodbye to our wonderful Subaru.  We will miss it so much. It was an amazing car. There were a few tears shed. We are excited to welcome the Honda, Odyssey to our family. It's only been a few days but we are loving the extra space. We are now a minivan family!

The kids where so excited they could hardly stand it. They have been wanting a van for a really long time. Sam said the first night we had the van, "Mom, We don't need the Suvaru any more, we have a van now! Can we keep the van forever?" They have to show everyone their new van, they are pretty excited!

I won't ever leave!

Abby, "Mom I want to marry Sammy." Me, "Sweetheart you can't marry your siblings!" Abby, "But I don't want Sammy to ever leave," Sammy, "I won't ever leave Abby!" Small pause... "I don't have a car!"

Albany Adventures Day 5

What a day!  We started with our washer and dyer being delivered!  Yahoo!

Super excited about those!  Them the fun started. We found a leak in our basement the night before so I called a plumber to come check it out. Then I notice the garbage disposal didn't work so I had the plumber check that out too. Well... Now we have a new garbage disposal and new piping under the sink because it was leaking too I found out.  I had to call the city to come find and turn off the water to the house so we could fix the leak in the basement. A nice fee for that! And now that is fixed and we have a nice whole in our wall too. Welcome to home ownership right! 

We still got a lot done today considering. I got a lot of the bathroom cleaning and some stuff put away. We finished more of the kitchen. I did a few loads of laundry in my new fancy LG washer and dryer. The best part is we got the family room all put together. 

Got the kids in bed and now it's time for me!  Hope everyone sleeps better tonight than they did last night!

Face painting by Abby

Today Abby made a sign that said, face painting by Abby. Then walk down the street asking for money and she would paint their face. One of our neighbors did give Abby a dollar and letter her paint her hand. Then she painted a couple kids faces for free after I said I would give her .50. Crazy kid!

Albany Adventures Day 4

We pretty much got a lot of the kitchen done today. I can't believe how much kitchen crap we have. Thank goodness for Lafaunda helping me. I don't know I would have known where to start. 

Today we are first night sleeping in out new house. Abby and Sam are sharing a room. It took awhile, but they finally fell asleep. I think they will really like sharing a room once they get used to the new routine. 

Albany adventures day 3

Moving day!  We are officially home owners! We are pretty excited. Here goes nothin!

Adventures in Albany day 1... 1:00 AM. We arrive, get to our hotel, we are all about to go to bed and Abby falls off the bed hits her head on the nightstand and cuts her eyebrow bad enough she probably needs stitches.

Soccer game talk...

We are at Abby's Soccer game and I asked Stu if I should get up and do a cheer. He said, "I wanna see a toe touch." Sam got mad and said, "It's not a toe touch it's a tow truck!"

Abby hates soccer!

We fight her every week to go to soccer. The first time someone stole the ball from her she cried. She has asked me multiple times to unsign me up for soccer. Today Abby is kind of willing to go in and play but then just walks around. I think we will stick to dance or gymnastics!

Fabreeze

We are downstairs packing and Stu says to Sam, "Let's go change your bum you stink."  Sam refuses as usual and goes upstairs a little while later her comes back downstairs smelling really strongly of fabeeze.  He had gone upstairs and sprayed himself with Fabreeze. Didn't quite cut it though!
