Our Little Dancer Fairy

So pretty, especially with the socks.Trying to get the tag off.
This is my favorite, I wish it was not blurry.
Always getting into something!
Dancing around
This costume was on sale at Gymboree for like 10 bucks and Abby was determined to have it so my mom bought it four her. She came right home and put it on. I think it is pretty cute! She just twirled and danced around. She thought she was pretty hot stuff in it. I could not get a picture of her just standing there. She was always on the move as you can see I have a lot of pictures of her back. But... I love the little wings.

Today...

I'm just sitting here feeding Sam and thought I would post about my day. To start Sam had his best night last night. He did two three hour stretches and one two hour. It was great! Abby got up earlier than normal so I didn't have time to get ready before she got up. She was one one this morning and I was grumpy too. Not a good combo. After struggling to get her ready to go because she fought me over everything we finally made it to Arctic Circle for lunch. I needed to get out of the house! She never stopped moving while she ate crawling under the table over grandma trying to climb over the bench. She finally got a couple chicken nugget down. Then she was off to play in the play area. After a little bit she came running back and she had a poopy diaper. I let it go for a minute, but it really started to stink and then she ran away from me and I looked at her bum and there was a huge log in there. She was wearing stretch pants and it stuck out like four inches - not exaggerating. Lafaunda had left at that point so I asked some lady to watch Sam while I changed Abby. It was a knock down drag out fight. It was one of the scenes that happens to other people but not you. The ones when you look at the person and think I am so glad that is not me. I think everyone thought I was beating her while we were in the bathroom. She was so notty I dragged her out screaming. She went right home to bed. She was in her bed plying/sleeping for 3.5 hours it was great. After her nap she was so pleasant and happy. Something funny... she has been obsessed with making lists today. She just gets a piece of paper and scribbles on it. But... tonight she made a list and said she was putting it in the mail. I asked who she was mailing it to. She said, to Santa, to tell him I want a chichen. (kitchen) I have not talked to her at all about list or mailing them to Santa. I just want to know how or where she learns this stuff. Now she is in bed asleep and that is were I'm going! Good night!

October

It was a really good cookie!

Abby, Sam and Grandma Jo

Today Lafaunda was decorating her house for Halloween and Abby saw a picture of Annie and Eva with one of the witches at Gardner Village and she said that she wanted to go see a witch. It so happened that my mom had mentioned going to Gardner Village to look at a bed and I called her up and said that we where going to meet her. Abby loved it. She especially loved all the witched that moved. She was so good today, it reminded me of the days we had together before little Sam switched things up a bit. She loved getting her picture with all of witches and really enjoyed eating her pumpkin cookie.. While we were there we had to wonder through some of the shops and Abby was so well behaved. It was crazy. She did like to rearrange all of the silk flower pots, birds, picture frames anything she could reach. She especially liked to open drawers and put things in them. We had such a fun day. When we were driving she said to me, "Me had lots of fun with Grandma Jo today." We will have to go see them again. I know I always say this, but I just love my two little squirts. They make me so happy!

Our Day at the Aquarium with Emily, Josh and Hallie

The Penguins were a favorite!
Sam enjoyed it too.

Three Weeks Old...

Sam is getting so big. I can't believe he is already three weeks old. I love this outfit. I had to take some pictures for him in it and I love the little shoes too. He is starting to look like a little boy instead of a newborn. He is still not sleeping well and still falls asleep eating. Oh-well hopefully it will get better soon!

My Little Mommy

The other day we were getting ready to go and Abby came walking over with this basket with her doll in it and one of Sam's blankets over the top. She had made her own infant carrier with a cover just like Sam's. I thought it was very creative.

Udders

Last night Abby and I were reading Scuffy The Tugboat and there in a picture of a cow in it. Abby pointed to the udder of the cow and I said that is the udder and she said mommy has that right there and pointed to my chest. I guess in a way I do have udders. ( : After I put her to bed I asked Stu if he had pointed out the udder before and he said he told her that is were milk comes from. I guess she put two and two together!

2 week check up...

Sam had his 2 week check up on Thursday. He is getting bigger!

Weight- 7 lbs 15 oz (almost back to his birth weight.)
Height- 22 1/4 inches (growing fast - 95th percentile)

His bilirubin has gone from 17.2 down to 9 in a week. Yahoo! We don't have to worry any more.

Sam is not the best sleeper in the world. He pretty much wakes up every two hours on the button to eat at night. I was used to Abby who came home from the hospital sleeping 3-4 hour stretches. Hopefully he will get better at sleeping soon. Other than that he is a pretty good little baby! We love our new addition. Abby loves her baby brother Sam. Sometimes a little too much! I am still recovering. Slowly regaining my energy. Thank goodness for my mom helping me out all week and for Stu being done with finals and helping me all weekend. It is so nice to have help. I am nervous to have to do it alone (well during the day). I am not sure when I will get a shower in. Abby used to sleep in until 11 or 12 but lately she has decided that 8:30 or 9:30 is better. I miss my little sleeper. Oh-well we will see if she eventually goes back or if this is the new Abby schedule. Hopefully I will get used to everything sometime soon.

Abby's or Sam's?

I just loved the difference in size. I had to snap a picture of it. Newborn vs. size 5

Double Diaper Duty

This was actually the day after Sam came home but I just uploaded the pics. I thought it was funny.

Life Is Good!

Getting a little more sun!

A Day I Don't Want To Relive

On Thursday I gave everyone a big scare. Around 6:00 am I woke up with some really heavy bleeding. We called Dr. Mark and he said it was normal to have a little heavier bleeding between day 7 and 9. Stu helped me get comfortable thinking that it would probably slow down as the day went on and left for school. About and hour later the bleeding got even heavier and I got more weak and nauseous. Thank goodness Stu had given me my cell phone before her left and I call Lafaunda upstairs and she came down to help me. She called my mom and she came right over. I just kept getting worse. Mark said to bring me right in to see him at Riverton Hospital. My mom called my dad and Lafuanda called Grant and they both came right over. I was able to crawl upstairs then passed out. I don't remember but Grant and my dad lifted me into the car. I think my dad made it to Riverton Hospital in record time. My mom said I looked awful, that I was ghostly white. The guy who got me out of the car said that I was going to end up at Imed and they followed me in with a crash cart. I don't really know all that happened I was really out of it. I do remember being really thirsty and asking if I could have a drink and the nurse told me not until they know if I was going to have to have surgery. I was worried that I might have to have a hysterectomy but at that moment a was so out of it and miserable a just wanted it to all stop. Mark came and saw me and said they would need to do a D & C. They got me up to the OR and put me under. I guess it all went okay in the OR I had to have a couple units of blood. Mark said he had never seen anything quite like it in all his years of practice. He said he had to just hold my uterus to get it to stop bleeding. If it had been any other OB they my have just done a hysterectomy. I am so thankful I had Mark there. He wanted more grandchildren. ( : I remember the first thing I asked when I woke up was if a had a trach. I really meant was I intubated because my throat was so scratchy. Every time I asked the nurse just kept telling me no. It was so much better after the surgery was done. I was really nauseous for hours but once we got that under control with some Phenegran I was able to go home. I am doing well. Still a little light headed and soar but happy to be alive an kicking. Thank you so much everyone who has called and stopped by. It means a lot! A huge thank you to my family and Grant for all the help with my children and for waiting on me. I don't know what I would do with out you all! Thank you Stu for all your help at this busy time for you with finals next week and missing school. It means more to me than you will ever know! You are the best husband!
I swelled up for some reason. Either it was all the fluid they were pumping in to me or the medication I was given, but I looked a little like Sloth from Goonies. This is actually a really good picture I looked even worse earlier. I had little slits for eyes and my lips were even bigger.

Happy 28th Birthday to us!

Yesterday was my wonderful husbands birthday. I know it wasn't the most exciting birthday her has ever had but it is always fun to celebrate. Thank you sweetheart for all your help. We all love you so much! Abby loves to celebrate birthdays. She likes to help you "blow a wish" when you blow out your candles.

My birthday last Friday! It was an exciting day. It was the day we brought Sam home.

More Choices...

Yesterday Abby wanted a treat, we have a bowl with some little candies in it and she looked in it and said to me, "I need more choices." I just laughed.
