Smith's
So we are in Stake conference a while ago and the speaker was talking about Joseph Smith and Abby turns to me and says, "She said Smith's, Smith's, market fresh, money smart!" She has obviously been watching to much tv and too many commercials. I couldn't stop laughing.
Potty Training Day 1
We started potty training Abby yesterday. It started out kinda rough grandpa Mark gets a gold star for cleaning poop out of her Ariel panties. ( : By mid day I think she finally got it. She does fine as long as she has nothing on. So we had commando Abby yesterday and again today. She woke me up this morning as said I want to go potty in the toilet. Yay! Hope it continues to go well. Last might she wanted to take some popcorn in. Popcorn potty party sound fun to me!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Abby

| My little lady turned 3 today! I can't believe it has been three years since Abby was born! Where does time go! I just love my little princess. She had so much fun today! She woke up and didn't even come find me she just ran right up stairs looking for Daddy, I think she was so excited about what was going to happen today! She saw the Ariel Happy Birthday banner on the wall and the stars dangling from the ceiling and you could just see the excitement in her eyes. She looked and me and said, "I love that Ariel thing and the stars." We had a little Ariel Princess birthday party with some of our med school friends. It was so much fun! Abby had a hard time at the beginning because she wanted to open her presents, but after we did that she just played and had a great time with all her little friends. It is so nice to have such good friends that all have little ones around the same age as mine. All of us women got to just sit and chat while all of the kids played. A big thanks to my mom for helping out and for playing with the kids for a bit so I could enjoys the party too! It could not have been more fun! Thanks to everyone who came and made this a special day for Abby! And... the festivities continue tomorrow! We love you Abby! |

Big one!
Abby and I were getting ready to leave the other day and I said to her as I was getting ready to walk out the door, "Come on little one." She replied, "Okay come on big one." I love her little comments!

Step 1 Score
Stu got his Step one board score back today! Yay! He did so well! He got what he what he wanted so he will not have any restrictions on what residency program he can apply too! I woke up this morning and my heart started pounding. I thought, is it the 11th, I looked at my phone and it was. I jumped out of bed and ran up stairs and said, "Stu it's the 11th!" He said, "SO?" I said, "You might get your score today." He gave me this look like oh man did you have to remind me! Then said, "Well you better start praying." He left for school and I was left alone to have an anxiety attack by myself. I hurried and jumped on to Facebook and to the U of U med student wife "support" group and posted that it might be the big day for most of us! All of just started typing back and forth trying to keep ourselves busy until 9:00 when the scores were supposedly going to be posted. Hope these lady's don't mind me posting our conversation here, but I thought it was so funny I want to remember it! But after a long day of worrying and stressing Stu emailed me around 3:00 and said, "I couldn't remember my USMLE password and after multiple attempts it locked me out, so I have to wait for tech support to contact me and unlock it. I thought I was going to explode! Thank goodness Stu emailed me a little later and someone from the U had emailed him saying congrats on passing Step 1. Stu asked him if by any chance her knew his score. Thank goodness the guy new his score so we didn't have to worry all night. Trying to keep myself busy I got a lot done! I deep cleaned the bathroom did 8 loads of laundry, folded and put away! Go me! I had to stay busy I was seriously stressing! He got home and we had a yummy dinner then celebrated with a Dairy Queen Ice cream cake! Way to go Stu! I am so proud of you and of me for letting you study! ( :

- Jane Jensen Curtis I am so jealous I can hardly stand it! Well congrats he must have done well!
- Michelle Chestnut Jane if you can access Stu's email type in USMLE ID and it should pull up in his history and enter it into the site to find out the score.

- Erica Rowles Wilkinson So for those of you whose husbands got their score today, was there an email notification in your inbox? My husband wanted me to ask the group because he hasn't seen anything but wondered if it could just be in his USMLE account.
- Michelle Chestnut Bob hasn't gotten an email notification. And I'm so glad that he doesn't mind me checking on things like that. He actually gave me the go ahead to open all his decision letters when he applied to med school, he knew waiting until he got home at the end of the day would be torture for me ;) But when it comes to sharing food, well that's a VERY different story. He now orders all his Cafe Rio food really spicy . . . I think it's cause he knows I don't like it so he does not have to share ;)
- Michelle Taylor Schmidt Ha Ha I am laughing so hard at you girls right now. It is bringing back so many memories. I totally opened Jon's step 1 and 2 for him. He didn't want to wait until the end of the day but wouldn't be able to log in and do everything you had to while at work so I always did it with him on the phone. I would never wait until he got home if I saw that it was there :) Did any of you guys actually end up getting in, hope it goes well for all of you! Hope third year is going well. As far as Disneyland goes you should all plan a trip during 4th year. One of the places you can go to take their Step 2 clinical skills boards is in LA. We wished we had coordinated schedules better to go with friends but a bunch of us went when our hubbies took their boards down there. It will get tricky between interviews and everything but you guys could plan it to all go together. Good luck to all of you, remember to enjoy the ride during crazy third year. Any of you are welcome to come play at our house anytime you are wanting out and your hubby isn't around because we will probably be here and Jon won't be around either :) Although it is appearing that third years hours are a lot crazier than residency with their new hours requirements.
