Almost every morning Sam gets up before Abby and we go upstairs and he goes over to the couch and hops in it and says either, "Mimy or Tutington" then grabs a blanket and says, "nuggle." That just gets me every time. So we lay on the couch and watch Mickey while we snuggle! I just love my little snuggler. I remember Abby used to post pone bed sometimes when she would say she wanted to snuggle cause I'm a sucker for snuggles.

Daddy!!!
Mister woke up at 10:45 PM and wanted daddy. Good thing he was around. So Sam studied with daddy for a bit, had some snacks then went back to bed.

Rough day!
It's been a rough day! The kids were both so naughty and grumpy. I think Abby spent at least an hour in her room. Now they are both in bed and I'm going to sit down and catch up on Smash... And pray for a better day tomorrow.

Arrrrh!
I was so grumpy the morning because I really wanted Sam to sleep later than 6:55 am. The two of us were up stairs playing trains and suddenly he started saying, "Awrr, pie-it! Awrr, pie-it!" (Arrrh, Pirate) How can you be grumpy with a little pirate.

Adam and Eve
Today after church I asked Abby what she learned in class she said she learned about Jesus. Then I asked if she learned about Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden, because she had a picture of them. She said, "Yes and they ate the stuff the the snake tolded them to and they couldn't live there forever." I was impressed.

Butterfly
Abby painted this butterfly and flower today. I thought it was so cute I had to take a picture. I love my little artist.

I just need to tell you something...
Tonight I put Abby to bed and made my way upstairs. I had been upstairs for maybe a minute and I hear Abby screaming, "Mom! Mom! Mom!" At the top if her lungs. I go down to her room and she calmly says, "I needed to tell you something." I answered, "What do you need to tell me." Her reply was, "Mom I really want to go to the Nutcracker with Aunt Emily and Grandma, and I want to go to Disneyland and to the beach." I just held back my giggles and said, "Ok, at Christmas time we can go to the Nutcracker and maybe when it gets warm we could go to Disneyland and the beach." She said, "It's going to be really warm soon!"

Sam's 18 Month Appointment
Once again Dr. Gustin said Sam is a big boy! Always above the 90th percentile. Here are his stats:
Height:34.25 inches 92%
Weight:30.64 lbs 93%
Head circumference:18.5 inches 89%
She was concerned he had petechiae on his chest so we had to go get some lab work done. That was a joke! I don't know who cried more, Abby went she saw them stick him or Sam because he got stuck twice. Abby was just screaming which made Sam cry even more. Always an adventure! At least he got a Thomas sticker! Thank goodness everything was just fine. Dr. Gustin called and said his platelet count was as robust as Sam. Nothing about Sam is small.
What would we do with out mister Sam. He is such a happy squirt most of the time. Though lately he has started throwing more tantrums. Starting the twos early I guess.
He loves trains and his second love are trucks. Must be a boy! I love watching him push trains around and saying, tunnul? (tunnel) It always sounds like a question when he says it. Chairs are tunnels, my legs are tunnels. Everything is a track too.
He still eats pretty much the same things I posted in his 15 month post. Hasn't changed much in that department. Other than maybe liking more kinds if treats and he loves toast. ( ;
He has learned to count. He says, two, thirteen, fourteen. Yep my kid can count to fourteen at 18 months. When I give him his vitamins, which he loves he always counts them out for me like that. He just makes me happy. He can repeat anything you say. He can say some short sentences like, where daddy go? (He is such a daddy's boy!) The other day I went to get him out of his crib and he handed me his puppy and said, "Puppy, take." Then handed me his lamb and said, "Lamby, take!" Then he put his arms up in the air and said, "Help Ooo!" (help you) I love that when ever he needs help with anything he always says, "Help Ooo." He has finally mastered the k sound this passed week. Now he says Mickey with the ck very pronounced and bink with the k very pronounced too. He knows all his animal sounds too. If he sees a picture if any animal he will make its sound down to the fish says, blurp, blurp.
He still loves to go, go! He would be happy just out and about all day or being outside. He is a pretty awesome shopper. I've taken him shopping a couple times in the passed couple weeks and he just chills in his stroller. Ever since he turned 18 months I think he hasn't been (quite) as busy and definitely less destructive. Thank goodness.
I just love his mannerisms. I don't know how to explain when I'm try to say but I just love how he walks and talks and the things he does with his arms. He is just a funny kid.
His favorite shows to watch are: Thomas (tommy), Team Umizoomi (zoomi) and Chuggington. He loves tv.
He also loves moosic (music). He loves the ipod to be on and if it is a song he liked he with yell, "again!" when it ends. Sometimes he will even do a little dance for us or sing along. I love at church when he points out there is music when the organ starts playing a hymn. Then sometimes he will sing along and it it the funniest thing. He kind of sounds like a dog howling.
He still loves anything soft, blankets, clothes, stuffed animals, pillows. If bit is soft Sam will find it and nuggle (snuggle) it. I love nuggling with him. He is my snuggler.
I want him to stay this age forever except for the times he throws cereal every where or other naughty things like that. We live our Sammy!

Choo! Choo!
Everything is a Choo, Choo track around here with this little man! It must be genetic. Grandpa Ron has the same problem. Love you dad!
Funny guy
Love this little guy! Always going through my legs or anyone's legs saying tunnel! But you got to watch out because some times he forgets to duck when he goes through.
Happy Easter 2013
Abby was pretty excited that the Easter Bunny brought her a Belle dress and I don't know if Sam was more excited about the candy in the eggs or the Thomas train. We had a great Easter the kids looked so cute in their new Easter outfits for church and they did pretty good at church. Always a bonus. In the afternoon Michele and her family came up for dinner. Grandma made a smoked turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy. It was yummy. Grandma and grandpa also has a treasure hunt for them. They thought that was pretty great. At the end they got bug catchers. So they all went outside to catch some bugs. That is until one crawled and Abby's foot and she freaked out.
Happy Easter!
Happy Easter!
MSA Eater Egg Hunt
The kids had so much fun at the Easter Egg hunt this year. Sam just wanted to start opening eggs and eating the candy the second we arrived and Abby is finally old enough that she understands the whole egg hunt and she liked to go play with all her friends. Sam and Jocelyn's little guy Aiden that's just a couple months older where pretty cute together. They were sitting at a picnic table just the two of them and after a while Aiden jumped down and walked away. Sam started screaming, "Hey! Hey!" It was pretty funny. It's always so fun to be able to be with my fellow med student wives.
Important United States Meeting
Yesterday Abby was having a very important United States meeting. She told us not to walk though it. She's already pretending to be the president. ( : Later she told me the hole United States fell apart. Meeting must not have gone very well.
Hmmm!
One of these days I won't have to keep a double and single stroller in my trunk and Costco runs will be much easier. The front seat also has groceries on it.

I'm starving my kids!
One would think that after Sam ate a yogurt stick and a yogurt and a cup of chocolate milk that 6 eggs with bacon and cheese would be enough for me, Abby, and Sam. What was I thinking. I got maybe two bites and Abby's asking for thirds and they are all gone.

Cookies
Abby just said, "Mom, lets make cookies. I need exercise and making cookies is exercise!" That is definitely my kind of exercise!
