Quietly playing!

I found these two quietly playing together upstairs. I love when this happens. Abby said it was Sam's idea to play cars. She said he said, "Cah!" So they are playing cars. I love these two so much!

I love having a little boy!

Even though Sam was determined to wear Abby's purple boots today he is such a boy! We were driving to the store today and there was a huge truck in front of us and Sam kept yelling, "guck!" We followed it for quite awhile and he continue to point it out. Then we turned and he fell apart crying, "guck, guck!" While we were at Carter's I bought him some fire truck Jammies. When we got home he pulled them out and held them up to himself and was so excited they had trucks on them. Now we are getting ready for bed and he very willingly put on his guck pjs. Usually I have to chase him down.

Who's Kids Are These...

Stu was on call today so I took the kids to my parents ward. I just didn't feel like doing it alone today. Well, the kids were awesome during church. I had two people tell me how well behaved my kids are. I don't know who's kids I had at church today but I don't think they were mine. ( : Then we got home from church and they both just played by them selves for an hour and a half. It was so nice. Maybe Stu she leave in Sundays more often. Oh ya and this morning Abby got herself dressed shoes on and buckled and got her sweater on all by herself. The last few weeks we have been so late because Abby has thrown a tantrum because she doesn't want to get dressed and getting her shoes on is usually another huge ordeal. I'm just enjoying every minute. Now Sammy is napping and Abby and I are enjoying the new Tinker bell movie.

Guck!

I look over and Sam is like this yelling, "guck, guck!" That's stuck! It's was too funny to not hurry and snap a pic.

Valentines

Abby and I went to the grocery store today and she picked out her valentines. This is the first time she has really cared. I'm so excited I asked if she wanted to make a list of who she was going to give them to. She said no! Guess I'll guess I will do it by myself.

Sam's 15 month Appointment

Well I'm a little slow at writing this post.  Sam is now 16 1/2 months. He is as cute and as busy as can be.  Here are the stats for Sam's 15 month appointment...

Height: 33 inches - 94%
Weight: 27.56 pounds - 86%
Head Circumference: 19.2 inches - 89%

I just can't get enough of this boy!  Where do I start?
Back in December about a week before Christmas Sam suddenly became a total boy.  He became obsessed with trains (choo, choo), Cars (cah) and trucks (guck) over night.  I had to go shopping on Christmas Eve to buy a train for him because the week before he only wanted to snuggle with soft stuffed animals.  He still likes to do that but is a little more boyish.  Now he is obsessed with Mickey (mimy), and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I think he would watch that and Bubble Guppies (bubo) all day long if I would let him.  If he see's my iPhone he wants to watch Mimy on it.  He loves music.  He loves to dance.  The other day there was music on the TV and he started running around on his tippy toes holding a little Mickey in front of him in like a ballerina.  He looked like he was doing ballet.  Stu and I couldn't stop laughing.  He loves when Abby starts dancing to music.  He usually started running around in circles laughing.
He can be a little poop sometimes.  If I get mad at him he will sometimes run to to bathroom and start unrolling the toilet paper into the toilet.  Or he will throw things on the floor or start emptying cupboards.  He loves to climb everything.  It drives me crazy.  One minute he's one place the next he is standing on the kitchen counter.
Food he eats- His favorite breakfast is two scrambled eggs (eggies) with cheese and bacon.  It tastes the best on grandpa's lap. Some of his other favorite foods are, Chicken nuggets (chicky), frozen peas (pea), Hot dogs (dot dog), Broccoli (boccie), Bread (bed), Mickey Yogurt (mimy), gogurt, pancakes, waffles, quesadilla, string cheese (tcheese), pear (peh), apple, Banana (nana), strawberries, grapes, pineapple, blue berries (beie), Mandarin oranges, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, peanut butter, squeezy baby food, french fries, crackers (cackers), Mexican rice, re-fried beans, drink (jink, jink), juice, rolls, Kix, shredded wheat, chex, any candy, cookies, ice cream, treat (cheet).  He loves his vitamins (vie)  He will stand at the counter and scream vie until I give them to him. I'm sure I am missing a few things, but he can be kind of a picky eater.

Food does not like- noodles, Mac n Cheese, chicken (unless it's battered) beef, Tilapia, green beans, potatos, carrots, asperagus (he tried it yesterday and started laughing when he picked it up - a whole one. Then he poked himself in the eye and laughed.  He was not a big fan of it when he finally got it in his mouth.

This is kind of all over the place, Sam also loves to brush his teeth, (tee).  He stands at the cupboard and screams, "Tee!!!, Tee!!!" until we let him brush his teeth.  He is still a total binky (be be) boy!  He loves his binky! He is just a happy little guy that gets into everything! We just love him to pieces!

Oh Sam!

I won't tell Abby that Sam stood up in the tub, peed on her back and laughed while he did it. ( :

Old Facebook Message

I was looking through old messages I've sent to Stu and FB and I came across this one from a few years ago it made us laugh.
Stu, Here is a funny one for you. We had a 28 yr old pt scheduled for a brain scan for headache and absence of menstruation. We asked her if she could be prego she said she did know so we couldn't scan her till we found out. We called the ER and got a prego test. Surprise. She is pregnant. How did she get all the way to an MRI scan with out a pregnancy test.

And the Winner Is...

Otolaryngology! Stu has chosen ENT for the specialty! So nice to know! Now it's time to start planning for year 4.

I'm a little Ship!

Abby at dinner, "I'm a little ship! I'm a little ship!" I'm a little ship! Look it looks like a little boat." Few I thought maybe she was repeating something that I had called her once upon a time!

Chicken pot pie

Tonight for dinner we had chicken pot pie I don't think Abby ever saw the pot pie because she ate before and was up stairs. After dinner Stu three a few pre made cookies in the oven and after the cookies where done Abby comes to the top of the stairs and yells what's the yummy smell. We just looked at each other and smiled. Then Abby kept asking what was cooking. Then she saw the cookies and wanted one. As she was eating her cookie she said, "How did you make chicken pot pie turn in to this?" Stu and I couldn't stop laughing.

Deep Fry Night

Are family tradition if deep frying on New Year's Eve continues, we just had to do it a couple days later since I wasn't feeling well on New Years Eve. This year we has deep fried zukinni, cheese and corn dogs, sweet potato fries, mozzarella sticks, and deep fried pizza. It was pretty good! Next year I want to try deep fried Oreos.

Ken

This morning Sam came walking up to me with a naked Ken and one boot saying, "boo, boo!" He wanted his boot on. Then he wanted to eat breakfast with Ken. Funny kid!

Spice balls

Abby just found a little package of Nerds candy and she said to me, "Mmmm Spice! I haven't had these for lots of years. They are spice balls!"

Our Ward Party

Tonight was our ward party. The kids had a great time. There was a big band playing for us and the second they started playing Sam started dancing. Then he wanted to be in the stage where the action was. The kids just danced and Abby loved being with her friends. The primary sang a couple songs. Since I'm the primary chorister I helped with that. I accompanied the kids during Silent Night on my harp. That was a lot of fun. The kids made the evening. They were so cute and had so much fun. Abby didn't want to leave.

Boys and Girls

I was just changing Sam's diaper and Abby came over and said, "Why does Sammy have a little weenie." I explained that boys have them but girls don't and she agreed that she and I don't have one. Then she said, "Daddy has a big one, I think he got it from exercising." I love little people's thoughts.
