Happy Halloween - 2011

Abby was so excited to go Trick-or-Treating.  When the door bell rang the first time and the kids said Trick or Treat Abby went Running to the door.  Then she took some candy from our bucket and put it in hers and said thank you.  We didn't even need to leave the house.  When we would go up to peoples doors Abby would take a candy then take another and say for daddy and another and say for grandpa and so on.  It was pretty funny!  She came home with 5 full size candy bars.

 Abby's Minnie Pumpkin

Sweet girl!  She looked pretty cute!  One of the other little girls in he neighborhood came by and she said to Abby, "You look like Mickey Mouse."  Abby gave her a dirty look and said, "I Minnie Mouse!"

Stu and I were reminiscing about our first Halloween together and how I was so excited to have trick-or-treaters at our apartment and no one came to our door because we didn't realize we were supposed to put a special witch on our door that meant trick-or-treaters were welcome.  I was so upset.  Once we realized this I drew a witch and taped it on our door.  Memory's!

Go Utes!

Grandpa Mark brought this home from work the other day.  Doesn't he look so dang cute!!!  He is getting so big too fast.  I can't believe his is wearing 3-6 months clothing.

Baking Cookies

Today Abby and I had a great time baking Halloween cookies together.  Abby really enjoyed eating the dough and smooshing her fingers in the cookies before we baked them.

MSA PLAYGROUP

Yesterday we had a playgroup with MSA.  Abby was so excited to go.  She loves the witches at Gardner Village.  Abby is starting to be a lot more social when she is around other kids.  It makes it more fun to go to things like this.  Just a few weeks ago she only wanted mommy to play with her even when there with a lot of kids around.  There are so many cute kids all around her same age.  I love MSA!

Trick or Treat!
Sam the man as a baby penguin
This past week has been full of Halloween festivities and there are more to come. We went to Grandma Jo's annual Halloween Party on Monday. We had a great time. Abby loved the musical pumpkin game and eating doughnuts off a string. She didn't understand why the other kids were not using their hands. It is muck easier if you just grab it with your hands. She enjoyed bingo too. She thought she should just put candy corns on all the boxes though. She got black out in the first few minutes. Grandma had lots of prizes, Abby loved that. Any prizes that were left over Abby would ask grandma if they were hers...these mine? Then she would go and put what ever it was in her bag. The best was when she grabbed the candy corn from the bingo game and asked if she could have them and walked over and dumped them in her bag. We all just watched and laughed. Then tonight we went to Emily's ward's Trunk or Treat. Abby was not quite sure about it at first. She was very timid, but after about 10 cars she was on a roll. I asked her at one point if she wanted to go back to the car and she said NO, next one. She would walk right up to the car and say Trick or Treat and she would pick a candy and say..."that's my favorite, thank you." Every kind of candy was her favorite. One woman said, "oh, I love you Minnie Mouse costume" and Abby started twirling around and showing off her costume. As soon as we finished she started eating candy after candy. She thought it was the best day of her life. She has two really fun nights, but mom and dad have paid for it when we get home. She had been a nightmare to put to bed. Oh-well, it is so fun to see your kids having so much fun.

Sam's 5 1/2 Week Photoshoot

Yesterday I decided to take some pictures of Sam. He looked so cute in just his diaper. I did these almost daily when Abby was a baby. Sorry Sam! Abby of course was not okay with me just taking pictures of Sam. She wanted some of her too. When you take a picture of a baby their face is never the same for longer than a second, So...here are the many faces of Sam!
