Girls Day!

Yesterday me and a few other Med student wives enjoyed a girls day out. We went and got an hour massage, 45 min in a massage chair, 20 min at the oxygen bar and then out to lunch at the Spaghetti factory. It was a much needed relaxing day with friends.

The first fall

It about broke our hearts when Abby fell down the hard wood stairs last night. It is the worst feeling when you are standing at the bottom of the stairs watching as your baby steps off the stair and starts rolling down and there is nothing you can do. Stu went running and thank goodness caught her about halfway down. She just had a big bump on her head, but nothing else that we could see, just scared. I knew it would happen sometime since she will not turn around and go down on her belly. Little stinker! I don't think she learned any lesson from the fall, so it will probably happen again.

Camping!

This is great guys!
The other night we went camping... in our living room. Abby thought she had died and gone to heaven. She just went crazy. We thought about all of us sleeping in the tent but there was no way we were going to get Abby calmed down enough to go to sleep and I really wanted to sleep in my soft bed.

New Year's Day!

Santa stopped by on his way back to the North Pole and left us all a little something. Abby was really excited. It was like a little Christmas. Abby got a little dog that she can pull by a string, a book, a purse and a Wheely. Stu and I got a tent.

Happy New Years!

Christmas Day 2010

Looks like Santa came this year! We got up about 9:00 am Abby didn't quite know what to do when she walked in to the room. She had found a pack of Smarties somewhere and had a hard time opening presents because she wouldn't put them down. The first thing she did when she walked into the room was feed her new stuffed animal dog the smarties, then fed the "Elephant," (It is a slide then when Santa wrapped it, it looked kind of like and Elephant.) She opened the slide first and we could have stopped there. She really didn't want to do much else, but play on the slide. So we let her play on it and Stu and I opened our Stocking and the couple things we got each other. Stu got a case and screen protectors for his ipod Touch, I got the new Josh Groban CD, and David Archuleta CD. We finally got her to open a book that Santa left, but that wasn't very exciting. We took a little brake and went upstairs to have some breakfast. After we ate, Grandma and Grandpa Curtis came down stairs so we could open the presents that they gave us. They gave Abby a Dolly, she was so excited to get that. She loves dolls right now. Then we opened the gifts mom and dad Curtis gave us. Stu got a little travel kit for out trip to Mexico, full of stuff we will need for our trip. I got a black turtle neck and some tights and we both got new down pillows. Abby opened a few more things, a Little People Car and some doll bottles and a doll stroller. She was really excited about the stroller.

In the afternoon we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house. Abby had a hay day there too. She opened her present from my sister's family first. It was a ZuZu pet. She loved it. He very own ZuZu. We all took turns opening presents. We got some towels from Emily's family. We really needed some new towels. They are so soft. I am super excited! Stu got Harry Potter Clue, a camera case and an ihome. I got some clothes, a coat and a Pottery Barn bin to put all of Abby's toys in. Abby got a Little Tikes Car, a shopping cart and a puzzle. She made out like a bandit. We gave both of our parents the same gift. We have been working for months digitizing all of our old home videos. So for Christmas we compiled all of the Christmas videos and made two discs of all of the years of Christmas' we had. Stu did a great job editing all of them. They turned out very nice. It was really fun to watch them.

We had such a fun time with Abby. It was a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you Everyone for your presents!

Christmas Eve

This year we spent Christmas Eve at Stuart's parents and we were lucky to have his entire family there. We started with the end of a treasure hunt that was started a few days ago and then we ate delicious homemade Mexican food for dinner. After dinner we did our own production of the Nativity. I bet your nativity didn't have a chicken and a skunk. I think the chicken was the cutest. Next we exchanged gifts with the Bolke Family. We got cute Tie Dyed shirts and Abby got a Tie Dyed outfit, all done by Michele and Dan. Last we all hung out around the piano and sang Christmas Carols. We got Abby in bed and finished some last minute Christmas stuff.

Jensen Family Party

My whole life we have spent Christmas Eve night at my Grandma Cleo's house, but all of the families are getting to big. So this year we decided to start having a party with all the the Jensen's before Christmas. We had a great time, it was so fun to see my cousins that I only see a few times year. Everyone's kids are getting so big.

Santa came and all of the great grandkids sat on his lap and got a present. Abby didn't seem to mind sitting on Santa's lap this time. She was really excited to get a present. She got the book Jane's Great Adventure. We played a few games, the men stayed in the basement for a while watching the little ones... and the Utah football game. I hope this new tradition continues.
