| Sam had a great first birthday! We started the day by going on a tour of the SLC fire station with some friends! Sam enjoyed climbing on the fire truck. That evening we had the family over for a party! Sam loved dinner as usual. He ate two baby foods, then two pieces of pizza. After dinner we opened presents. Sam got three firetrucks. It was just a fire truck day. Emily and Steph's family gave him a fire truck, Michele's family gave him another little firetruck and after we went to the fire station Abby was determined to get Sam a fire truck. So, the two of us ran to Target right before the party and found Sam a little firetruck for Abby to give him. My mom gave him a shirt, socks and some little squeaky shoes and he was so excited to put them on when he saw them. We had gone to buy them the day before and he tried them on at the shop and thought they we pretty neat. We put them on him immediately and he started stomping around and pretty much tap dancing. It was so stinkin funny. We gave him a little tool box that he can "bam!" After presents we went outside for cake and ice cream. Sam LOVED his cake. He started of slow but devoured the entire thing in just a couple minutes. He was such a mess. I took him straight up to the bath after. I think he had a pretty awesome birthday! We love you Sambo and can't believe you are already one! |
