Step 1 Score

Stu got his Step one board score back today!  Yay!  He did so well!  He got what he what he wanted so he will not have any restrictions on what residency program he can apply too!  I woke up this morning and my heart started pounding.  I thought, is it the 11th, I looked at my phone and it was.  I jumped out of bed and ran up stairs and said, "Stu it's the 11th!" He said, "SO?" I said, "You might get your score today." He gave me this look like oh man did you have to remind me! Then said, "Well you better start praying." He left for school and I was left alone to have an anxiety attack by myself.  I hurried and jumped on to Facebook and to the U of U med student wife "support" group and posted that it might be the big day for most of us!  All of just started typing back and forth trying to keep ourselves busy until 9:00 when the scores were supposedly going to be posted. Hope these lady's don't mind me posting our conversation here, but I thought it was so funny I want to remember it!  But after a long day of worrying and stressing Stu emailed me around 3:00 and said, "I couldn't remember my USMLE password and after multiple attempts it locked me out, so I have to wait for tech support to contact me and unlock it. I thought I was going to explode!  Thank goodness Stu emailed me a little later and someone from the U had emailed him saying congrats on passing Step 1.  Stu asked him if by any chance her knew his score.  Thank goodness the guy new his score so we didn't have to worry all night. Trying to keep myself busy I got a lot done! I deep cleaned the bathroom did 8 loads of laundry, folded and put away!  Go me! I had to stay busy I was seriously stressing!  He got home and we had a yummy dinner then celebrated with a Dairy Queen Ice cream cake!  Way to go Stu!  I am so proud of you and of me for letting you study! Hey 3rd year girls today MIGHT be the day according to this... Guess we will find out

This was on the USMLE website...

Most score reporting of Step 1 results occurs within four weeks of testing. However, because of necessary modifications to the test item pool, there will be a delay in reporting for some examinees testing beginning in mid-May 2012. The target date for reporting Step 1 scores for most examinees testing from mid-May through late June will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012

My house!

Here is a conversation that happen between Grandma Lafaunda and Abby...

Abby, "Are Grandma and Grandpa going to come to my house?"
Grandma, "Sure I will come to your house, maybe I will have a sleep over!"
Abby was so excited!

This doesn't even do it justice.  It was so funny!  We couldn't stop laughing! Little does she know that we live in Grandma and Grandpa house, it is not her house!  I love her!

Tubes X2

Sam got Tubes today!  I was hoping Stu might be able to go into the OR with him, but IHC said no family.  At lease we know he was in good hands with Dr. Meads.  All went well, he did have a hard time after the procedure most likely because of the anesthesia but as soon as we got home he was much better.  We knew it would probably be like that since Abby wouldn't stop screaming right after there brought her to us after she had the tubes placed.  Hopefully that will help stop the ear infections.  Poor guy has had four ear infections in three months.  I feel like he has constantly been on an antibiotic!  Though he does like the antibiotic so it hasn't been too bad.  When he would finish all the antibiotic in the syringe he would just cry.  He always wanted more!  Funny little feller!
