We had a nice week in Vegas. It was a little colder than we would have hope. We didn't get to go swimming everyday, but Abby did take lots of baths in the big tub in our room. It was relaxing. Other than Abby didn't sleep very well. We got there and spent the first couple days with Stu's family celebrating Blair's graduations from Med school. He went to a Jewish school, so the graduation was on a Sunday, at the Rio. We went to the Rio Buffet after the ceremony. It was yummy! After the family left, Stu and I stayed for a few more days. The only things on our agenda where to go to Cece's Pizza Buffet, (We see commercials for it all the time, but we don't have one in Utah.) It was so good, I was so sick after and we wanted to eat at the Jack in the Box. We love their sourdough Jacks. The rest of the time we relax in our room and walked on the Strip and saw every fountain and fish tank there. Abby loved it. Especially when we went to the Rainforest Cafe gift shop and saw the monkey, elephant, snake and fish tank. She says we went to the Jungle. On Wednesday Maisy watched Abby for a few hours so that we could go see The Tournament of the Kings at the Excalibur with our friends Sharice and Derek who were down there too. That was a nice little break. It was a short little trip but fun. The drive home I was dreading, but Abby did great. She was really good from Vegas to St. George then we stopped in St. George for a bit and changed Abby since she had wet through her diaper and clothes then she slept from St. George to Thanksgiving Point. It was heavenly. Now I might think about going on another road trip.

Our last visit to Dr. Cramer

This was a sad, sad day. We went to see Dr. Cramer and he told us this would be our last visit and that he was retiring and going to work for Medicaid. We love Dr. Cramer and will miss him very much.

Happy Mother's Day!

(Our LITTLE Cold Stone Cake) Happy Mother's Day to all you Mother's out there!

We had a great Mother's Day. Abby was happy in the morning and didn't fight us when it was time to get her dress on. Church was nice even though I really didn't hear anything in Sacrament meeting, Abby was on one. She talked through the entire meeting. Stu finally took her out about 40 minutes into it because she was so loud! She never stops talking! When the primary kids got up to sing she stood on the bench and yelled out NAME-O... She wanted them to sing Bingo, not what they were singing. Never a dull moment with kids. All the mom's got V's Chocolates after sacrament meeting. I liked that! Then I taught my Sunbeam class and they were actually really good. Thank goodness. We came home from church Stu BBQed some chicken and Lafaunda and I through together some veggies and a salad. Mark walked in from delivering Babies right as we were about to eat and Abby was taking a nap so the four of us got to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner. After Abby woke up we headed over to see my parents. We had a nice time at there house. Abby loves going to grandma Jo's. We played for a while them came home and Michele and Dan and family were here. Abby played with them for a while then finally we get her to bet at 10:45. EEK! Good thing she took a late nap. Being a mom is such a wonderful blessing. You never realize how much your mom loves you until you have kids of you own. I am so thankful to have the chance to be a mother's. Thank you mom and Stu's mom for all you have done and do for us! We love you!

Prayers

Today before Abby and I ate breakfast we blessed our food, and in my prayer I blessed daddy that he would do well on his test today. Well, the whole rest of the morning Abby would fold her arms and say daddy test then through her arms up and say AMEN! It was pretty cute! Stu got many little prayers from Abby today and I think it paid off, he felt good about his final! Yahoo! Two down, two more to go!

Way to go Stuart!!!

For the past I don't know how many months, Stu has been working with a group of other Medical Students and Bio Medical engineers on a new medical device for this program called Bench to Bedside. Stu's group was working on a device to improve the surgical tenaculum. In this program there were 13 groups that were all working on something different pretty much competing to make the best device and the six top scoring groups got 10 thousand dollars to use to patent their device and to maybe help start in the production of it. They also had two 5 thousand dollar checks that were given to only two groups. (Different criteria were used when they judged for these two checks) They gave away the 5 thousand dollar checks first and Stu's group won one of them. We were so excited that they got something, but then they also won a 10 thousand dollar check too. Yahoo! It was so exciting! 15 thousand dollars to use to try and get this device out there. I am so proud of Stu. Such a little smarty pants. Way to go hunny!

The wives there to support our men! It was a really fun night. The food was so good. What could be better, good food, good company and two awards!
